A high-risk strategy that flips daily between leveraged bullish and bearish China funds, using recent moves in Chinese stocks plus bond/stock risk signals to decide whether to bet on a rise or a fall.
NutHow it works
This strategy makes a daily yes/no bet on big Chinese stocks using two very aggressive funds: YINN (bets China will rise, with extra leverage) and YANG (bets China will fall, also with extra leverage). It first looks at FXI, a fund that tracks large Chinese companies. If FXI has fallen hard very recently, it buys YINN, betting on a bounce. Otherwise, it checks whether markets look more “risk-on” or “risk-off” using trend and momentum signals from Chinese stocks, short-term Treasuries, corporate bonds, government bonds, and U.S. stock funds. Those signals decide whether to hold YINN or YANG.
