About

A daily, rules-based bet on China using 3x ETFs (YINN/YANG). It goes long on oversold or bond‑led conditions and short otherwise, using simple price signals from EEM, SPY, IWM, IEI, and IGIB, with a small cash buffer and a ~25% size cap.
NutHow it works
Each day it picks one of two 3x China funds: YINN (long) or YANG (short). It checks: 1) whether emerging markets (EEM) look washed‑out using RSI (a 0–100 “hot/cold” score; low=oversold), 2) whether EEM is above its 200‑day average (trend), and 3) whether bonds (IEI/IGIB) look stronger than stocks (IWM/SPY) via RSI. It keeps ~10% cash in each bet and caps this module near 25% of the portfolio.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe ~1.63 vs S&P ~1.02, alpha ~1.27, Calmar ~3.05—delivering stronger risk-adjusted returns and better downside control. Note: extreme-market drawdowns can occur.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
