About

A daily, rule‑based “market weather” strategy: hedge or go to T‑bills when markets are hot or fearful, buy growth/tech on big pullbacks, and ride bond and commodity trends in between. Uses VIX hedges, TQQQ/TECL/SOXL, SVXY, TMF/TLT, DBC/DBO/DBA, and KMLM.
NutHow it works
Daily, it reads a few “weather” gauges: 1) a heat gauge (overbought/oversold), 2) trend (price vs moving average), and 3) fear (volatility). If markets look hot or fearful, it hedges or parks in T‑bills. If they’re washed out, it buys growth/tech (often 3x). In calm uptrends, it holds stocks or short‑vol. It adds bond and commodity trend sleeves for diversification.
CheckmarkValue prop
Regime-switching, diversified sleeves aimed at portfolio risk reduction through hedges, bonds, and commodities. Out-of-sample results show lower returns and larger drawdowns versus the S&P, so this is best as a risk-management overlay rather than core equity.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
