About
A daily rotation strategy that picks among 5 managed-futures funds, leaning toward the ones that recently fell the most or have been the least volatile.
This strategy only invests in 5 funds that use “managed futures,” a style that trades trends in things like commodities, currencies, interest rates, and sometimes stock indexes.
Each day, it compares those 5 funds and favors the ones that look most out of favor or least shaky recently—for example, the one with the lowest recent volatility, the biggest recent dip, or the weakest recent momentum. If the same fund wins multiple tests, it gets a bigger share.
Out-of-sample edge: higher risk-adjusted performance (oos Sharpe 1.73 vs 1.28) with much smaller drawdowns (7.7% vs 18.8%). Low beta (~0.18) adds diversification; Calmar ~2.10 signals strong risk control with solid returns.
