About
A daily-rotated mix of five managed‑futures ETFs. It chooses the calmest and least “hot” funds and sizes positions so steadier funds get more weight, aiming for smoother returns and diversification beyond stocks and bonds.
Each day it scans five managed‑futures ETFs (DBMF, KMLM, FMF, CTA, WTMF)—funds that follow trends in commodities, currencies, and interest rates. It picks: 1) the calmest (lowest 20‑day volatility), 2) the “coolest” by RSI over 10 days (a quick heat check; lower=cooler), 3) the smallest recent drawdown, and 4) the lowest 14‑day RSI. Duplicates allowed. It then gives bigger weights to steadier picks (inverse‑vol) and rebalances daily.
Out-of-sample, daily rotation of five managed-futures ETFs delivers higher risk-adjusted returns (Sharpe ~1.54 vs 1.31), far smaller drawdowns (~7.7% vs 18.8%), and lower volatility—diversification for a steadier path than the S&P 500.
