About

A one‑holding, tactical strategy: it gauges whether bonds or high‑risk stocks look “hotter,” chooses a bull or bear list, then buys the single leveraged ETF that just dipped over ~4 days. If its two versions disagree, it keeps the calmer one. High risk, very concentrated.
NutHow it works
It first decides the market mood by checking which looks “hotter” lately: safe US bonds or risky stocks (a simple hot/cold gauge called RSI). That picks a bull list (bet on stocks) or a bear list (bet against them). It then buys just one high‑octane ETF from that list—the one that fell most over ~4 days (a buy‑the‑dip tilt). If two near‑twin versions disagree, it keeps the calmer one over the last 15 days. Many choices are 2x/3x leveraged funds.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~25.7% annualized return vs S&P ~24.4%, driven by regime switching and a single-ETF tilt that seeks upside while filtering risk. Note: higher drawdowns and volatility than the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
