About

Daily switches between: shorting the S&P 500 at 3× when the VIX “fear gauge” is surging, or owning 1.5× Apple or Microsoft. Uses recent choppiness of T‑Mobile vs AT&T to choose MSFT (more jumpy) or AAPL (less jumpy). Very aggressive.
NutHow it works
Each day: (1) Check the VIX “fear gauge” ETF (VIXM). If its 40‑day momentum meter (RSI) is hot (>69), buy SPXU, a fund that moves about 3× opposite the S&P 500. (2) Otherwise, pick a 1.5× Apple (AAPU) or Microsoft (MSFU) ETF: if T‑Mobile (TMUS) has been jumpier than AT&T (T) over 10 days, choose MSFU; else choose AAPU.
CheckmarkValue prop
Regime-switching sleeve: hedge via SPXU in stress and 1.5x tech bets otherwise. Seeks diversification and risk-adjusted value vs S&P. OOS: ~14% annualized vs SPY ~22%; larger drawdowns (~51%); best as a satellite, not core.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
