About

A daily, tactical “fear vs trend” allocator. When fear rises it hides in gold/dollar/bonds and hedges; when calm or after dips it rides trends using 3x stock or Treasury funds. An energy sleeve rotates among oil/nat‑gas/clean energy when their trends are strong.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks if markets look calm or stressed using simple gauges: how bumpy prices have been, how deep recent drops were, and whether “fear” is rising. • If stress is high, it moves into safer spots: gold, the US dollar, short/intermediate Treasuries, consumer‑staples, and sometimes a volatility hedge. • If calm (or after a sharp dip), it rides trends with 3x stock funds (S&P/Nasdaq) and a bond sleeve that flips between long or short long‑term Treasuries. A separate energy sleeve rotates among oil, natural gas, and clean‑energy only when their trends are healthy. • A “flex” layer favors whichever sleeve is working best recently.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe 2.95 vs SPY 2.83; Calmar 6.63; beta ~0.38; drawdowns contained. Dynamic risk-off hedges + trend-following deliver higher risk-adjusted returns with far lower market risk than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
