About

Aggressive, tech-heavy, rules-driven plan that flips between leveraged stock ETFs and defensive/short positions. Uses a 200-day trend filter, short-term heat/oversold signals (RSI), and bond-vs-stock strength. Includes volatility trades. Very high risk.
NutHow it works
Step 1: Is the S&P 500 above its 200-day average? If yes, Bull; if not, Bear. A moving average is the average of recent prices (trend). RSI is a 0–100 gauge of recent gains vs losses; high=overbought, low=oversold. Bull: mostly own the hottest 3x stock/tech funds (TQQQ, SOXL, TECL, UPRO/UDOW) plus short-vol (SVXY). If things run too hot, briefly buy long-vol (UVXY) or a single defensive leader (long Treasuries, US dollar, staples). Bear: buy bounces when oversold, or go defensive/short Nasdaq (PSQ/SQQQ) when trend is down, guided by bond strength (TLT).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: ~33.7% annualized return vs ~23.2% for the S&P, with higher upside potential and adaptive hedges that ride uptrends; however it endures larger drawdowns (~53% vs ~19%). Suited for risk-tolerant, growth-focused investors seeking superior upside.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
