About

Ride 3x Nasdaq in uptrends, add “seatbelts” when overheated, and rotate to Treasuries, cash, or short ETFs when risks rise. Small sleeves trade oil, gas, and commodities only when their trends are up. Calmer sleeves get more weight.
NutHow it works
Core bet: a turbocharged Nasdaq-100 fund (TQQQ). Each day it checks trends: if the market (SPY) is above its long-term average, hold TQQQ; if things look overheated (a 0–100 “speedometer” called RSI is high), briefly buy VIX funds (UVXY/VIXY) as a seatbelt. If trends weaken, it rotates into Treasuries (TLT/TMF), cash-like T‑bills (SHV/SHY), or even inverse funds (SQQQ/SH). Small side sleeves only turn on when oil, natural gas, broad commodities, or the US dollar are in uptrends. Calmer sleeves get more weight than jumpy ones. Main exposures: US tech (TQQQ/TECL/XLK), broad US stocks (VTI/UPRO/SPXL), Treasuries (TMF/TMV/TLT/BND), volatility ETFs (UVXY/VIXY/SVXY), energy/commodities (XLE/XOP/UCO/DBO/FCG/DBC/DBA/GLD/SLV/CPER), US dollar (UUP), and cash-like T‑bills (SHV/SHY/BIL).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample downside protection with solid risk-adjusted returns: max drawdown 13.2% vs SPY 18.8%; Calmar ~1.31; Sharpe ~0.91 vs SPY ~1.14. Nasdaq‑tech core plus hedges for steadier, resilient growth.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
