This strategy makes short-term bets on oil, sometimes betting oil will rise and sometimes betting it will fall. It watches whether oil moves look overheated, then checks other market stress signals like bonds, volatility, credit, and defensive stocks. Based on that, it chooses among long oil funds, a leveraged short-oil fund, or safety assets like Treasury bonds or gold. Its main goal is to catch sharp oil moves while stepping back when markets look extreme.
