About

A daily, risk-on/risk-off plan: hold QQQ, SPY, SMH, IWM when the long-term trend is up; move to short-term bonds when it’s down. After sharp 5‑day drops, temporarily “buy the dip” with 3x ETFs, then de‑risk to bonds after big rebound days.
NutHow it works
Daily rules. 1) If the S&P 500 fell >5% over 5 days, flip to “dip mode”: use 3x ETFs for Nasdaq, S&P 500, semis, and small caps (TQQQ/UPRO/SOXL/URTY). After any +2% day in a sleeve, that sleeve moves to 75% short‑term bonds (BSV) + 25% QQQ/SPY/SMH/IWM. 2) Otherwise, if SPY is up vs 200 days ago, split across QQQ, SPY, SMH, IWM; if not, sit in BSV.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annualized return 27.6% vs SPY's 22.0%; Calmar ~0.77 signals solid risk-adjusted gains. The strategy seeks higher upside through trend-based dip-buying and regime shifts, while max drawdown is larger at 35.7%.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
