About

A rules-based, multi‑asset portfolio that rides uptrends (especially tech/energy), parks in T‑bills when weak, and uses volatility hedges or shorts at extremes. Position sizes adapt to recent volatility to balance risk.
NutHow it works
It checks two simple gauges each day: RSI (how “hot/cold” recent moves are) and moving averages (trend). If tech (QQQ) trends and isn’t overheated, it rides with leveraged tech (TQQQ/TECL/SOXL). If overheated, it briefly buys VIX funds (UVXY/VIXY). If weak, it holds cash‑like T‑bills (SHV/SHY) or shorts tech (SQQQ/PSQ). Bonds flip long/short (TMF/TMV). Commodities/energy (DBC, oil DBO/UCO, nat gas FCG/BOIL/KOLD) are held in uptrends; else cash. It may short SPY (SH). Calmer sleeves get bigger weights (inverse‑vol).
CheckmarkValue prop
Comparable upside to the S&P with far lower drawdowns and better risk control: oos max drawdown 13.5% vs SPY ~18.8%, oos Calmar 1.46, positive alpha, and strong risk-adjusted profile. A diversified, hedged strategy for smoother returns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
