About

A daily, rules-based, tech-heavy strategy. It buys leveraged stock funds in uptrends, adds a short‑vol sleeve when calm, and quickly rotates to hedges, bonds, cash, or inverse funds when markets overheat or turn down.
NutHow it works
First decide regime: is the market trending up (SPY above its long-term average) or not? • Uptrend: usually own fast “turbo” stock funds (TQQQ/SOXL/TECL/UPRO/UDOW) and sometimes a short‑vol piece (SVXY). If things look overheated (very strong momentum), shift to a hedge mix (VIXY + T‑bills + BTAL). • Down/sideways: cut risk or go short (PSQ/SQQQ), or park in bonds/cash (TLT/IEF/BSV/SHV). Dip‑buy rules may add tech after selloffs.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annualized return ~38% vs ~21% for the S&P, with regime-switching hedges and selective leveraged tech bets. Captures strong upside in rallies while aggressively de-risking in downturns—growth with risk control.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
