About

Aggressive, daily strategy: ride 3× tech/semis in uptrends, hedge or flip short when momentum overheats or weakens. Uses trend (20/200‑day averages), RSI (0–100 heat gauge), and drawdown checks to dial risk up or down.
NutHow it works
It’s a daily, aggressive “ride tech, cut risk” switcher. 1) Big trend check: Is SPY above its 200‑day average? If yes, it holds fast movers—mainly 3× tech/semis (TQQQ, SOXL, TECL; also UPRO/UDOW). 2) Overheated? RSI (a 0–100 heat gauge of recent gains/losses) > ~80 → park in hedges (VIXY, cash‑like BIL/SHV, BTAL). 3) Trend weak/sideways or QQQ fell a lot? Shift to Treasuries (TLT/IEF/BSV), defensives (XLP), USD (UUP), or short the Nasdaq (PSQ −1×, SQQQ −3×). 4) Deeply oversold (RSI < ~30)? Try quick dip buys in 3× tech.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: ~38% annualized vs SPY ~21%, Calmar ~0.91, Sharpe ~0.85. Momentum-driven, levered tech tilt with hedges aims for higher upside than the S&P 500; note potential drawdowns around 42%.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
