About

A rules-based switcher around Nasdaq strength. It uses a 10‑day “heat” reading on QQQ and S&P 500 trends to rotate among 3×/2× Nasdaq, defensive utilities, gold, or T‑bills, with a small volatility bet when the market looks overheated.
NutHow it works
1) Check QQQ’s 10‑day RSI (a 0–100 “heat” gauge). If >79: hold ~60% BIL (T‑bills) + 40% UVXY (volatility spike fund). If <31: go 100% TQQQ (3× Nasdaq). Else check SPY: if price > 30‑day avg, buy QLD (2× Nasdaq); if ≤30‑day but >200‑day, buy UPW (2× Utilities); if ≤30‑day and ≤200‑day, buy GLD (gold). QQQ=Nasdaq‑100; SPY=S&P 500.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: 43.5% annualized return vs S&P 22.7%; max drawdown 11.6% vs 5.1%; Calmar 3.75, Sharpe 1.42. Higher upside from Nasdaq-driven rotation with defined risk controls—strong risk-adjusted edge versus the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
