About
A high-risk daily trading strategy that rotates between leveraged Microsoft, leveraged Apple, and a bearish tech fund based on short-term tech momentum and recent Nasdaq weakness.
This strategy checks the tech market every day and puts all its money into just one aggressive bet.
1) It first measures recent strength in semiconductor stocks using SOXL as a “tech temperature gauge.” If that reading is below 53.83, it buys MSFU, a fund that amplifies Microsoft’s daily moves by 1.5x.
2) If that reading is higher, it checks whether the Nasdaq-100 (QQQ) has avoided a sharp recent drop. If the worst drop in the last 6 trading days is less than 3.5%, it buys AAPU, a fund that amplifies Apple’s daily moves by 1.5x.
3) If the Nasdaq has had a bigger recent drop, it switches to TECS, a fund designed to rise when technology stocks fall.
Out-of-sample annualized return: 31.15% vs 22.82% for the S&P. A daily rotation among MSFT, AAPL, and bearish tech ETF targets bigger tech upside from momentum, but comes with higher risk: ~47.5% max drawdown and beta ~1.85.
