A very defensive market-timing strategy: usually parked in short-term Treasuries, but occasionally makes a big 3x bullish S&P 500 bet or a 3x bearish Nasdaq bet when short-term signals line up.
NutHow it works
This strategy is mostly a safety-first system. Most of the time it keeps about 97% in BIL, a very short-term U.S. Treasury fund, with tiny side positions in stock funds. It watches the recent strength of the S&P 500 (SPY) and Nasdaq (QQQ). If both look strong and the market is calm, it makes an aggressive bullish bet using SPXL, a fund that moves about 3x the S&P 500 daily. If tech looks weak and is in a downtrend, it can switch to SQQQ, a fund that rises when the Nasdaq falls. Otherwise, it stays mostly in T-bills.

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
