About

A daily, tactical gold‑miner strategy that flips between 3× long (GDXU), 3× inverse (GDXD), or cash (BIL). It trades only when a simple TLT‑vs‑QQQ backdrop is favorable, then uses recent trend and a high RSI reading to choose long or inverse exposure.
NutHow it works
Daily it picks among three funds tied to gold‑mining stocks: GDXU (3× up), GDXD (3× down), or BIL (cash‑like T‑bills). Backdrop check: if long‑term Treasuries (TLT) are lagging the recent pace of tech (QQQ), it trades miners; otherwise it parks in BIL. Trend check: if the last ~1 month of GDXU is up, it buys GDXU. If it’s down, it buys GDXU only when short‑term momentum (RSI, a 0–100 “speed” gauge) is very strong (~80+); otherwise it buys GDXD.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample tested, this gold-miner strategy offers better risk-adjusted returns than the S&P 500 through regime filters, daily trend timing, and a cash hedge, capturing upside while limiting losses.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
