A symphony is an automated trading strategy — Learn more about symphonies here

About

A tactical, one‑position strategy. It checks the market trend and a simple hot/cold gauge on high‑risk stocks, then buys the strongest recent performer (or a hedge in weak markets). It uses 2–3x leveraged funds, so both gains and losses are amplified.
NutHow it works
1) Trend: Is the S&P 500 above its 200‑day average? Above = risk‑on; below = defensive. 2) Heat gauge: a 0–100 hot/cold read on HIBL (amplified high‑risk stocks). Cold (<40) = look for rebounds; Hot (>78) = expect a pullback. 3) Pick one fund: choose the recent leader. In risk‑on it leans to aggressive longs (tech, crypto, biotech, energy). In defensive it can also pick hedges (volatility, short tech, inverse oil). Single holding; rotates as signals change; uses 2–3x leveraged ETFs.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this single-position leveraged strategy delivers superior risk-adjusted returns vs the S&P: Sharpe ~3.38, Calmar ~65, and strong alpha by riding momentum leaders (with risk-off hedges). Higher upside with disciplined risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
