About

Owns QQQ in calm markets, scales into VIX hedges as fear rises, and flips to PSQ or T‑bills when a managed‑futures gauge (KMLM) signals stress. Goal: capture tech upside while cushioning crashes; positions are sized and rebalanced daily.
NutHow it works
Daily, it rides big tech (QQQ) unless a stress detector says trouble. It compares stocks/tech/bonds (SPY/XLK/SMH/HYD) to KMLM (a managed‑futures trend fund). If KMLM leads and is trending up, it flips to either betting against QQQ (PSQ) or to T‑bills (SHV) if QQQ looks washed‑out. Separately, as fear (VIX) rises, it gradually buys VIX funds (VIXM/VIXY) and then takes profits back to SHV after extreme spikes. Positions favor steadier picks; rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: ~13.3% annual return, ~6.6% max drawdown, Calmar ~2.0. Better downside protection and risk-adjusted performance vs the S&P 500, while still capturing tech upside in calm markets.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
