About

Daily, it checks if the S&P 500’s 6‑month trend is up. If so, it owns the 3 best‑performing ETFs from a diverse list (heavy on tech/growth). If not, it holds the stronger of Treasuries (TLT) or gold (GLD). Equal‑weighted; rebalanced daily.
NutHow it works
Each day: 1) Check if the S&P 500 (SPY) made money over ~6 months. • If yes: rank a mixed list of ETFs by 6‑month return and buy the top 3 equally. The list includes big US stocks (SPY), tech/growth (QQQ, FBCG, AI/automation/quantum funds), small caps (IWM), value (VTV), international (VEA), gold (GLD), nuclear (NUKZ), crypto‑industry (FDIG). • If no: buy whichever did better over ~1 month between long US Treasuries (TLT) and gold (GLD). Rebalance daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: ~50% annualized return vs ~25% for the S&P, with solid risk-adjusted metrics (Calmar ~2.37, Sharpe ~1.67). Regime switching targets leaders in up markets and hedges with Treasuries/gold in down markets.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
