About

A tactical, daily‑rebalanced mix that dials equity leverage up in uptrends and down in stress. It uses S&P 500, Nasdaq‑100, and small‑cap ETFs, switches to inverse funds and T‑Bills in downturns, and flips between short‑ and long‑vol plus gold/silver during volatility spikes.
NutHow it works
It tilts into S&P 500 (SPY), Nasdaq‑100 (QQQ) and small‑caps (IWM) using 3x/2x funds in uptrends (price above 200‑day avg). RSI (0–100 momentum): if <40 use normal funds; if >75 use 2x. If 20–30‑day losses hit, shift to −1x funds and T‑Bills. Watches VIX (VIXY): if its short‑term jump > longer‑term, flip from short‑vol (SVXY) to crash insurance (UVXY) plus gold (GLD), silver (SLV) and T‑Bills (BIL). Picks the 2 strongest sleeves; rebalances daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy aims to beat SPY with strong risk-adjusted gains: ~57.5% return vs ~51.4% for SPY, and Calmar ~5.27. Drawdowns are higher (~10.9% vs ~6.3%), but volatility hedges are designed to protect and grow capital.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
