About

Aggressive, tactical strategy that tries to ride NVIDIA uptrends with a 2x fund, flip short when overbought, and pounce on volatility spikes. When signals are unclear, it parks in T‑Bills. Very high risk; uses leveraged and inverse ETFs.
NutHow it works
It first asks: is market volatility heating up? If yes (but not extreme), it buys a VIX fund (UVIX) to catch a spike; otherwise it runs an NVDA play: long a 2x NVDA fund (NVDL) when NVDA trends up, flip short if it’s too hot, and sit in a T‑Bill fund (BIL) when trend breaks. It uses simple gauges: RSI (0–100 ‘heat’ score) and moving averages (trend lines). It may add a quick hedge if the S&P looks overheated.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~41% annualized return vs ~15% for the S&P, Calmar ~1.20, Sharpe ~0.81, beta ~0.78. Lower market correlation with strong upside; but max drawdown ~34%—high, yet volatility timing aims to manage risk. Ideal for risk-tolerant alpha seekers.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
