About

A daily, rules-based EM strategy. It boosts risk when the US trend is strong, cuts risk when weak, fades extremes (too hot → short; too cold → long), and otherwise switches between long and short EM using quick cross‑asset strength signals.
NutHow it works
- First, check the US market: if SPY is above its 200‑day average, use 3× EM ETFs; if below, use 1× exposure. - Then check Emerging Markets (EEM) vs its 200‑day and its 10‑day RSI (a 0–100 “heat” score). - If EEM is very hot (RSI>80), short EM with EDZ + T‑Bills; if very cold (RSI<25), buy EM with EDC + T‑Bills. - Otherwise, flip long/short using quick bond‑vs‑stock strength checks, and rebalance daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this EM strategy aims for higher upside than the S&P 500, with 71% annualized return, Calmar ~6.88, and beta ~0.54, plus risk controls from regime switching and extreme-move fades.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
