About

A daily‑rebalanced 25% sleeve for emerging markets: a volatility circuit breaker moves to T‑bills; a 200‑day trend plus quick cross‑asset strength checks choose a 3× long or 3× short EM bet, with plain EEM used after extreme drops.
NutHow it works
This 25% sleeve makes daily, aggressive bets on emerging‑market stocks. - If market fear (VIXM) has spiked lately, it parks in T‑bills (BIL). - Otherwise it checks trend: if EM (EEM) is above its 200‑day average (long‑term trend), treat as “up,” else “down.” - Then it asks which has risen more lately: safer assets (Treasuries, bonds) or risk assets (REITs, the Dow, small‑caps). That choice flips between 3× long EM (EDC) and 3× short EM (EDZ). After a very sharp EM drop, it may briefly hold EEM instead.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: EM strategy delivers ~46.7% annual return with Sharpe ~1.31 and Calmar ~1.94, outperforming SPY on risk-adjusted basis. Volatility filters and trend rules target substantial upside with disciplined risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
