About

A high‑octane, regime‑switching strategy. In fear spikes it hedges or briefly buys 3× tech; in calmer markets it makes tactical long/short bets on Europe using “heat” (RSI), trend, and risk filters. Trades TQQQ, EURL/EPV, VXX, BTAL, BIL. Very high risk.
NutHow it works
It has two modes. 1) Panic: if a “fear” ETF (UVXY) is surging, it either parks in T‑Bills (BIL), holds volatility (VXX) and an anti‑beta hedge (BTAL), or buys a quick bounce in 3× tech (TQQQ) after sharp drops. RSI = how hot/cold recent moves are (over 70 = hot; under 30 = washed‑out). Moving averages = trend. Max drawdown = recent worst drop. 2) Otherwise: it flips long (EURL 3×) or short (EPV −2×) Europe using Europe’s trend, inflation (RINF), and bond‑vs‑stock strength. High risk; uses leveraged/inverse ETFs.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample return ~44.4% vs S&P ~44.2%, with beta ~0.15 and Calmar ~2.40. Uses hedges and regime-switching to chase upside while controlling drawdowns—potentially stronger risk-adjusted performance than the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
