A daily one-position ETF switching strategy that mostly sits in gold, but jumps into aggressive trades in semiconductors, South Korea, or volatility when its market stress signals fire.

This strategy checks a few market “stress gauges” every day and then holds just one ETF at a time. • If the broad U.S. market has fallen very hard in the last 2 days, it buys SOXL, a very aggressive fund tied to semiconductor stocks, betting on a bounce. • If tech stocks are swinging wildly, it moves to BTAL, a more defensive fund designed to hold up when high-risk stocks struggle. • If commodities have been running very hot, it buys VIXY, a fund linked to stock-market fear. • Otherwise, it usually chooses between KORU, a very aggressive South Korea stock fund, and SGOL, a gold fund.

Out-of-sample shows this strategy underperforming the S&P with high risk: -47.9% return, -19.4% max drawdown, Sharpe -1.20, Calmar -2.47. Not a growth engine; only a high-risk diversifier/hedge for seasoned investors.
