About

Switches based on two signals: market “fear” and the US dollar’s trend. In fear, park in short‑term Treasuries. If the dollar weakens, buy a single leveraged EM fund; if it strengthens, buy a bearish EM or long‑USD fund.
NutHow it works
1) Fear check: if a volatility fund (VIXY) shows sustained stress (RSI: a 0–100 speed gauge), it hides in short‑term Treasuries/cash (SHY). 2) Else read the US dollar trend (short vs long moving average). Weak USD: buy the most recently oversold leveraged EM fund (EDC/KORU/INDL/BRZU). Strong USD: buy a bearish EM fund (EDZ) or a long‑USD fund (USDU). EM = banks, materials/energy, tech.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: about 38.5% annualized return vs 23.7% for the S&P, plus alpha and Calmar ~0.92. This regime-switching EM/FX strategy seeks higher upside with controlled risk, but may see larger drawdowns in crises.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
