A daily trading strategy that flips between emerging-market stocks (EEM) and a fund that profits when they fall (EUM), based on recent selloffs, long-term trend, and broader market risk signals.
NutHow it works
This strategy mainly bets on emerging-market stocks using EEM, and sometimes bets against them using EUM. If EEM has fallen very hard recently, it buys EEM, expecting a bounce. Otherwise, it checks whether market conditions look healthy using a long-term trend line and a few “risk appetite” comparisons. If conditions look good, it owns EEM. If not, it switches to EUM, which rises when emerging markets fall.
