A high-risk market-timing strategy that bets on emerging-market stocks, sometimes with 3x leverage, and flips bullish, bearish, or partly to T-bills based on stock-market trend and risk signals.

This strategy is a market-timing system focused on emerging-market stocks. It first checks if the overall U.S. stock market is healthy using SPY (an S&P 500 fund). If yes, it gets aggressive; if not, it uses less risk. It then trades EEM (emerging markets), EDC (a 3x bullish version), EDZ (a 3x bearish version), or BIL (very short-term Treasury bills/cash-like). It uses simple health checks like: Is price above its long-term average? Has it fallen very hard recently? Are bonds acting stronger than stocks? In good conditions it often bets hard on rising emerging markets. In weaker conditions it may switch to a bearish position or partly sit in T-bills.

EM timing with leverage aims for higher out-of-sample upside (roughly 41%/yr) vs SPY’s ~24%, plus negative beta provides diversification from the S&P 500. But it carries sizable drawdowns, so it’s for risk-tolerant growth seekers.
