About

Daily, tactical EM strategy that flips between EEM and its inverse (EUM) using EEM’s long‑term trend and cross‑asset momentum (RSI) of bonds vs US stocks. Keeps ~10% in cash; rebalances every day.
NutHow it works
Each day it chooses between EEM (emerging‑market stocks) and EUM (the inverse of EEM). It checks: 1) Trend—Is EEM above its 200‑day average price? 2) Momentum—RSI, a 0–100 score of recent up vs down days, comparing safer bonds (IEI, IGIB) to US stocks (SPY, IWM) and EEM. It also uses BIL (T‑bills) vs its 50‑day average as a stress flag. If risk looks healthy it buys EEM; if not, EUM. ~90% invested, ~10% cash.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample EM strategy toggling EEM/EUM daily; higher risk-adjusted return than the S&P: OOS Sharpe 1.82 vs 1.10; Calmar 2.35; max drawdown 15% vs 18.8%; annualized return ~35% vs ~19.6%.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
