About

A simple, buy‑and‑hold dividend portfolio: half in real estate (global and U.S.) and half in high‑dividend stocks (U.S. and international). Even split at the start, no rebalancing. Income-focused with a noticeable real‑estate tilt.
NutHow it works
It splits your money evenly across four income-focused ETFs and then holds them: - REET: global real-estate landlords (REITs) - VNQ: U.S. real-estate landlords (REITs) - SPYD: U.S. stocks that pay high cash dividends - VYMI: non‑U.S. stocks that pay high cash dividends There’s no rebalancing, so the mix can drift. Income mainly comes from rent-backed REITs and mature, dividend-paying companies.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, an income-focused mix (REITs + high-dividend stocks) delivers lower drawdown than SPY (14.0% vs 18.8%) with Calmar ~1.0 and solid risk-adjusted return. A smoother, dividend-led path relative to the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
