About

A low-drama “parking spot” for money: rotate among T‑Bills, high‑quality bonds, and gold. Strict guardrails first; own bonds when their trend is friendly, gold when the dollar weakens and gold is steady; otherwise hold T‑Bills. Rebalanced daily.
NutHow it works
Each day it chooses the safest of three: cash-like T‑Bills (BIL), high‑quality US bonds (IEF/TLT/BSV/LQD), or gold (GLD). It starts with safety checks (market fear, trends). If bonds look healthy and not overheated, it buys the strongest bond ETF. If bonds look weak but the dollar is soft and gold is trending calmly, it buys GLD. If neither looks good, it sits in BIL.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy delivers superior risk-adjusted performance vs the S&P with strong downside protection: Sharpe 2.31 vs 1.91; max drawdown 1.67% vs 5.07%; Calmar 8.35; plus a solid 13.92% annualized return and cash-like safety when markets wobble.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
