About

Quarterly mix of sector mean‑reversion and selective leverage. Buys recent laggards among sectors/Treasuries, holds diversifiers (gold, commodities, managed futures), and adds 3× S&P only in uptrends while flipping between defense and offense.
NutHow it works
Rebalanced quarterly. It uses four sleeves: (1) Sector rebound (~1/3): buy the 3 most recently beaten‑down from a list of all major stock sectors (US and global) plus US Treasuries. (2) Diversifiers (~1/5): gold, broad commodities, and managed‑futures (DBMF, KMLM). (3) Leverage (~1/3): add a 3× S&P fund (UPRO) only in uptrends; plus a 'beta flip' that buys recent losers among defense (long Treasuries) and offense (tech/health). (4) Dynamic (~1/8): tilt to the list (US or global) that lagged.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: ~13% annualized return, 23% max drawdown, Calmar 0.56, Sharpe ~0.69. Diversified, rules-based sleeves with quarterly rebalancing and selective leverage aim for a distinct, risk-aware profile versus the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
