About

A complex, rule-based ETF portfolio that rotates among momentum and risk signals across assets, including leveraged/futures ETFs, with ensemble filtering to pick a small top set.
NutHow it works
A multi-portfolio rule engine selects ETFs based on simple, windowed signals (past performance, momentum, volatility, and RSI). Each group has its own set of rules for including assets and how much to weight them. It mixes leveraged ETFs (eg, TQQQ, 3x funds) with hedges (GLD, BIL, BITO) and uses a benchmark-like check against XLP in some branches. Leaves feed into groups that assign weights; at the end, an ensemble ranking (max drawdown) picks the top five to hold.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this rule-based ETF strategy offers solid risk-adjusted upside (Calmar ~0.89, Sharpe ~0.85) with ~15.7% annualized return and diversified momentum/hedge exposure—growth with disciplined drawdown control vs the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
