About

A daily, rules-based ETF strategy that rotates into leaders in uptrends, buys sharp tech pullbacks, and shifts to cash, bonds, gold, or inverse ETFs when risk rises. It blends trend, mean reversion, and relative‑strength signals to reduce drawdowns and capture upswings.
NutHow it works
It reads the market’s “temperature.” If stocks look overheated, it parks in cash and small shorts. If the long-term trend is up, it owns the strongest sectors. If tech drops fast, it buys a rebound. If the trend breaks, it hedges or shorts (mild or strong). It also adds gold and Treasuries when stress rises, and runs a separate emerging‑markets and Treasury‑momentum sleeve. Signals use simple rules: hot/cold gauges (RSI), trend lines (moving averages), and short‑term drops.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy beats the S&P: Sharpe ~1.85 vs ~1.02, annualized return ~31.3% vs ~17.7%, and max drawdown ~7.6% vs ~18.8% (Calmar ~4.12). Dynamic risk controls deliver bigger upside and smoother drawdowns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
