About

Rules-based swing approach: ride uptrends with 3x tech/semis; when stress appears (RSI warnings or sudden drops), quickly switch to volatility hedges, bonds, gold, or cash. In downtrends it defends, with a small sleeve that buys extreme selloffs.
NutHow it works
1) Trend. If the S&P 500 (SPY) is above its 200‑day average, it rides the uptrend with 3x tech/semis (SOXL, TQQQ, TECL) and S&P (UPRO). 2) Stress. If momentum fades or fear jumps—via RSI, a 0–100 ‘speedometer’ of recent ups vs downs—or if SOXL plunges over 1–5 days, it flips to hedges: volatility (UVXY/VIXY), long Treasuries (TMF/TLT), or T‑bills (BIL). 3) If SPY is below trend, it stays defensive (gold GLD, staples XLP, bonds) and may use a −3x Nasdaq hedge (SQQQ). Plus: a small “low‑catcher” sleeve buys oversold sectors, metals, and bitcoin on extreme RSI lows.
CheckmarkValue prop
Rules-based regime switching in out-of-sample tests suggests this strategy outperforms the S&P 500: ride tech uptrends with selective leverage and defend with fast hedges. Strong downside protection, selective upside, adaptive risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
