About

A rules‑based portfolio split across S&P 500, Nasdaq‑100, small‑caps, and semiconductors. A bond “heat gauge” sets the regime: short overheated stocks, otherwise stay long; if bonds slump, park in bonds. Note: one sleeve uses a −3x inverse ETF.
NutHow it works
Split into 4 sleeves: S&P 500 (30%), Nasdaq‑100 (20%), small‑caps (20%), semiconductors (30%). Each sleeve watches a bond fund and a 14‑day RSI (a 0–100 heat gauge of recent moves). If the bond is strong (>50) and the stock looks overheated (>70), it flips to the inverse ETF. If the bond is weak (<40–45), it parks in that bond. Otherwise it holds the stock. SPY/SH, QQQ/PSQ, IWM/RWM, SOXX/SOXS; BIL, TLT, IEF, AGG.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this multi-sleeve RSI-driven strategy delivers ~26% annualized return and ~1.28 Sharpe vs S&P ~20% return and ~1.25 Sharpe. Higher drawdowns (~26.5% vs ~18.8%), but stronger upside.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
