About

A rules-based, multi-asset strategy: ride tech/growth in good times, hedge or rotate to bonds, gold, dollar, and managed futures when markets get overheated or weak. Uses short-term signals to buy dips, avoid extremes, and add diversification.
NutHow it works
It’s an autopilot that switches between offense and defense. When tech/growth is rising but not “too hot,” it owns QQQ (sometimes with leverage). If prices get overheated, it hedges with VIX-linked funds or goes defensive (market‑neutral, staples, cash‑like bills). On sharp dips, it may “buy the dip” or sit in short‑term bonds. A big sleeve separately trends long/short Treasuries, gold, and the US dollar, and adds managed‑futures funds for diversification.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy shows far higher risk-adjusted returns: ~28.4% annualized vs ~10.7% S&P; max drawdown ~2.2% vs ~4.5%; Sharpe ~3.38 vs ~0.96; Calmar ~12.68—strong upside with less risk than SPY.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
