About

A fast, rules‑based strategy that rides big uptrends in tech/semis with 3x ETFs, but quickly shifts to hedges (inverse ETFs, volatility, or T‑bills) when markets overheat, fall sharply, or bond/commodity signals turn risk‑off. Rebalanced daily.
NutHow it works
It’s a daily rulebook. First it checks stock trend (S&P 500/Nasdaq) and a “heat gauge” called RSI (how fast prices have run: high=overheated, low=washed out). If trend is healthy and not overheated, it rides strong tech/semis with 3x ETFs. If things get too hot or drop fast, it flips to hedges (inverse ETFs, volatility like VXX) or cash‑like T‑bills. A second check watches bond trends (TLT) to own or short long Treasuries (TMF/TMV). Extra guards look at commodity and volatility spikes to go more defensive.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy delivers superior risk-adjusted returns vs the S&P 500: Sharpe ~2.65 vs ~0.68, Calmar ~15, positive alpha, and built-in hedges from fast tech/semis rotation and risk-off hedges.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
