A symphony is an automated trading strategy — Learn more about symphonies here

About

A daily, risk‑on/risk‑off plan that toggles between leveraged tech (TQQQ) and T‑Bills (BIL). It buys hard into selloffs, backs off when markets look overheated, and otherwise dials exposure using an average of short‑ to long‑term momentum gauges.
NutHow it works
It only trades two funds: TQQQ (3× Nasdaq‑100) and BIL (T‑Bills). Each day it checks if markets look very “cold” or very “hot” using a 0–100 “hot/cold” score (RSI) on major indexes/sectors. Very cold → 100% TQQQ; very hot → 100% BIL. Otherwise, it sets TQQQ at 0–100% by averaging that score for QQQ over 10, 21, 130, and 252 days—hotter → less TQQQ, colder → more. Rebalances daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annualized return: 21.03% vs 18.54% for the S&P, with Calmar ~1.93 indicating strong risk-adjusted upside. A risk-on/risk-off engine (TQQQ/BIL) seeks tech rallies while aiming to protect downside—potentially higher long-term growth than SPY.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
