About

Daily, all‑in switch between tech‑heavy QQQ and gold (GLD). Uses a long‑term market trend and short‑term “heat/oversold” signals to own QQQ most of the time, shifting to gold when stocks look too hot or weak, and buying QQQ on big dips.
NutHow it works
Each day: 1) If the S&P 500 (SPY) is above its 200‑day average, hold QQQ unless a short‑term “heat” score (RSI) on QQQ or SPY is very high (>79); then hold GLD. 2) If SPY is below its 200‑day, usually hold QQQ, but switch to GLD when QQQ is weak (below its 20‑day average) or very hot (>79). Buy QQQ on sharp sell‑offs (RSI < ~30).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample results show ~13.25% annualized return vs the S&P 500's ~13.09%, with a Calmar of 1.68, and a disciplined QQQ/GLD switch that hunts tech gains while hedging risk with gold during regime shifts.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
