About

A simple daily switch between QQQ (Nasdaq‑100, big tech) and GLD (gold). Uses a long‑term market trend check, buys QQQ on sharp dips, and parks in gold when stocks look overheated or weak. One ETF at a time.
NutHow it works
It chooses one ETF at a time: QQQ (big tech) or GLD (gold). It first checks trend: is the broad market (SPY) above its 200‑day average price? A moving average is just the recent average price. RSI is a 0–100 “heat meter” of recent moves: above ~80 = very hot; below ~30 = very cold. Uptrend: hold QQQ unless things look very hot, then use GLD. Downtrend: buy QQQ on sharp dips; otherwise use GLD when QQQ looks weak or very hot. Rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Regime-aware rotation between QQQ and GLD captures tech upside while hedging with gold. Out-of-sample return ~12% annually vs SPY ~13.8%, but adds diversification and solid risk control (Calmar ~1.54) in volatile markets.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
