About

Daily, single‑ETF rotation around QQQ. In uptrends it rides QQQ, hedging with VIXY when prices get “too hot.” In downtrends it buys sharp dips or shifts to defense, choosing between short QQQ (PSQ) or long Treasuries (TLT).
NutHow it works
First, it checks the long‑term trend (Is SPY above its 200‑day average?). If yes, it holds QQQ (big tech) unless a 10‑day “hotness” meter (RSI) says the market is extremely hot; then it briefly switches to VIXY (benefits from volatility spikes). If no, it buys sharp dips in QQQ/SPY when very cold; otherwise, if QQQ is weak, it picks the stronger of PSQ (short QQQ) or TLT (long Treasuries). Rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: 57.36% annualized return vs SPY 43.99%, Calmar 7.28 — strong upside with downside control. Daily rotation among QQQ, SPY, PSQ, TLT with a VIXY hedge delivers tech leadership plus risk management versus the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
