About

A daily, rules‑based switcher: ride big tech (QQQ) in uptrends, flip to a short‑term volatility play (VIXY) when markets look overheated, and in downtrends rotate among QQQ, inverse QQQ (PSQ), or long Treasuries (TLT) based on short‑term “heat” readings.
NutHow it works
Daily process: 1) Trend test: If SPY is above its 200‑day average (uptrend), hold QQQ (big tech). But if QQQ or SPY’s 10‑day RSI—a 0–100 “heat” gauge—is very hot (>~80), switch to VIXY, which tends to jump when stocks cool. 2) If SPY is below its 200‑day (downtrend): buy QQQ or SPY only when very washed‑out (RSI ~30). Otherwise, if QQQ is under its 20‑day average, pick the stronger (by RSI) of PSQ (moves opposite QQQ) or TLT (long Treasuries); if not, use PSQ if it’s washed‑out, else QQQ.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample results beat the S&P 500 on growth and risk: ~47.5% annualized vs ~38%, Calmar ~6.0, Sharpe ~2.6. A rules-based rotation among QQQ, VIXY, PSQ and TLT targets higher upside with controlled risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
