About

An equal-weighted basket of 10 U.S. stock ETFs, blending growth/momentum with income-focused funds, held with no automatic rebalancing. Aims for broad exposure and steady income, with a tech-growth tilt.
NutHow it works
- The plan uses 10 stock ETFs to build a single, diversified basket of U.S. stocks. - It attempts to allocate roughly the same amount of money to each ETF (an equal-weight approach), so no single fund dominates the portfolio. - Some ETFs focus on growth and momentum (e.g., SCHG, IWY, MGK, QQQ, SPMO, SPY), giving the portfolio a tilt toward faster-growing, tech-leaning areas of the market. - The other ETFs (JEPI, JEPQ, GPIX, GPIQ) aim to generate income by using options-based strategies while still holding stock exposure, which can provide a steady yield but may cap upside in strong bull markets. - Rebalancing is not automatic in this setup (rebalance = none). If a rebalancing decision were made, the target would be to keep weights within a 1% band, but currently no automatic rebalancing occurs. - The result is a simple, transparent portfolio that seeks long-term growth with some income generation, while being exposed to a technology and growth tilt due to its ETF choices. These ETFs are all U.S.-focused and cover broad market exposure as well as specialized growth and income strategies.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this 10-ETF basket targets near-SPY growth with higher risk-adjusted returns: Sharpe ~2.27 and Calmar ~4.75, plus income from options-based ETFs. Diversified, simple to own, and less idiosyncratic than a pure tech bet.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
