About

A daily, rules-based switcher that mostly rides a leveraged Nasdaq‑100 fund (TQQQ), flips to a volatility hedge (VXX) when things look too “hot,” and otherwise parks in defensive bond/consumer‑staples funds, guided by simple hot/cold readings and trend filters.
NutHow it works
It uses two signals: RSI (0–100; high=hot, low=cold) and moving averages (average price). Main holding is TQQQ (3x Nasdaq‑100). It reads SMH (semis), QQQ (Nasdaq‑100), SPY (S&P 500), SOXL (3x semis). If long‑term trend is up: only sell TQQQ when it’s very hot (then buy VXX, a volatility note); otherwise buy TQQQ on “cold” reads. If trend is down: buy TQQQ only on oversold/bounce; else park in VBF (bonds) or XLP (consumer staples). Rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Low-beta, risk-controlled tech tilt with hedges. OOS beta ~0.024; max drawdown ~4.57%; Calmar ~0.75. Delivers diversification and steadier risk-adjusted performance versus the S&P 500, with modest upside.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
