About

Daily tactical strategy that rides tech/Nasdaq uptrends with 3x ETFs, flips to inverse or defensive when markets get overheated or fear spikes, and switches between long/short Treasuries based on TLT. Uses RSI/trend/short‑term returns. Avoids K‑1 via PDBC.
NutHow it works
It watches two dashboards: stocks (S&P 500/Nasdaq) and interest rates (TLT). It uses simple yardsticks—RSI (a hot/cold gauge of recent moves), moving averages (trend), and short‑term returns. If stocks look healthy or washed‑out, it buys growth via 3x funds (TECL=tech, TQQQ=Nasdaq, SOXL=semis). If markets look too hot or fear spikes (UVXY), it flips to hedges like SQQQ/SOXS/TECS, VXX, or cash‑like T‑bills. Separately, it rides or shorts long Treasuries (TMF/TMV) based on TLT’s trend. It rebalances daily and uses PDBC (no K‑1) for commodities.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this tactical strategy delivers superior risk-adjusted returns vs the S&P 500: Sharpe 2.14 vs 0.68, Calmar 8.18, and ~91% annualized return vs ~7%. It rides tech Nasdaq uptrends with hedges to protect downside and fuel upside.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
