About

A daily, tactical “risk-on/risk-off” strategy. It rides strong tech/semis with 3x ETFs in uptrends, flips to cash, bonds, hedges, or inverse ETFs when fear or downtrends appear. Uses RSI and trend signals; avoids K‑1 funds where possible.
NutHow it works
It’s a daily “market weather” system. It watches stocks (S&P/Nasdaq), long-term bonds (TLT), commodities, and fear (VIX). RSI (a 0–100 gauge of how fast price moved; high = stretched up, low = oversold) and trend lines decide the regime. In uptrends it rides 3x leaders (TQQQ/TECL/SOXL/UPRO). If fear spikes or trends turn, it shifts to cash-like T‑bills (BIL/SHY), bond trades (TMF/TMV), inverse ETFs (SQQQ/SOXS), or VXX. It always picks the single best option from a small list.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy delivers ~42% annualized returns vs SPY's -1%, with positive Sharpe (~1.14) and Calmar ~3.77. It rides tech leaders, uses regime hedges, and offers stronger risk-adjusted upside than the S&P in volatile markets.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
