About

A tactical, high‑octane plan that’s usually long SOXL (3x semiconductors). It gauges trend (TQQQ vs 200‑day) and “heat” (RSI). If overheated, it hides in VXX (volatility). In downtrends it may flip to SQQQ (short Nasdaq) or BSV (short‑term bonds).
NutHow it works
Uses TQQQ vs its 200‑day average to decide trend. In uptrends it holds SOXL (3x semiconductors) unless many market ETFs look overheated by RSI (0–100 speed‑of‑move; high=overheated). Then it switches to VXX (tracks volatility). In downtrends, if markets are washed‑out (very low RSI) it still buys SOXL; if weak under the 20‑day, it picks the stronger of SQQQ (−3x short Nasdaq) or BSV (short‑term bonds). Rebalances daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample upside is compelling: ~133% annualized vs ~20% for the S&P 500. Calmar ~3.55 signals strong risk-adjusted edge; hedges via VXX and down-move plays (SQQQ/BSV). Note: max drawdown ~37.6%—tail risk to manage.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
