About

Aggressive, SOXL‑first strategy. Rides semiconductors in uptrends; shifts to VXX when markets look overheated; in deeper downtrends, rotates to SQQQ or short‑term bonds. Daily rebalancing. Extremely high risk and volatility due to leveraged ETFs and VXX decay.
NutHow it works
1) Check trend: Is TQQQ (a 3x Nasdaq‑100 fund) above its 200‑day trend line? If yes, default to SOXL (a 3x semiconductor fund). But if a 10‑day “heat gauge” (RSI) on several market ETFs looks too hot (~≥79–80) — e.g., SPY, QQQE, XLP, XLY, TECL, FAS — flip to VXX (volatility). 2) If TQQQ is below that trend: when the drop is also short‑term (below 20‑day), pick the stronger of SQQQ (‑3x Nasdaq) or BSV (short‑term bonds); otherwise, or if things look washed‑out (very low RSI), hold SOXL. Rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annualized return ~118% vs SPY ~23%; Calmar ~3.1 signals strong risk-adjusted upside. Tactical hedges (VXX, SQQQ, BSV) with SOXL exposure aim for high alpha, with drawdowns around 38% in downturns. Growth-focused, not for the risk-averse.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
